Open for submissions for the ‘summer season’ of the UKMPF welcome to the next stage of the publicity that FromPage2Screen has spent near a decade working on. First came the podcasts, then came more podcasts,, then social media, websites, Q&A panels, interview movies, press access at some of the biggest events in the country and also the world. Film publicity has always been in my heart. Now comes this festival.
Primarily focused on UK film (short and feature length) but also open to International Independent Films and will soon be a live yearly event. (more information to come in the near future once the plans are a little more concrete the world world gets some normality back in it) I’ve been asked to take on the role of Festival Director which I do with pleasure! With my experience over the years not only watching and reviewing films, but also interacting with filmmakers from across the world.this is going to be and already is a very exciting step into a new arena.
This was a wonderful welcome invitation to help assist the newly formed festival. I will also be part of the judging panel when it comes to selecting the winners of the awards, but to avoid any conflict of interests, Should any of the many filmmakers that I have dealt with over the years, decide to submit a film to the UKMPF, then I will allow my judges seat to be filled with another judge (of which there are several)
Award winners will have the opportunity to purchase a trophy if they win their category festival prize Award winners will also be given a certificate which they use to help promote the festival but also of course celebrate their win. They will also be able to take part in a newly launching podcast (which will run alongside my pre existing podcast) to talk about their life and career and projects. All building on the skills ive learned over the years to help others talk about their creative lives and projects. So about the festival. Here is a little more about it.
