A celebration of unheard voices both near and far gathered to “Come, tell me how you live”, this year’s International Agatha Christie Festival transforms Torre Abbey into five days of eclectic and unexpected song, stories, dance, extraordinary objects from ordinary lives, provocative lectures and other amazing journeys. All the while enjoy tea on the lawn, and other more adventurous and mysterious places to stretch out, curl up, and conjure up the missing clue.

~ Exclusive tour and talk at Agatha Christie’s favourite cinema, the historic Paignton Picture House, with Mathew Prichard : Come and see behind the scenes of one of the oldest purpose-built cinemas in Europe, soon to undergo a full restoration and where the doors were last open to the public 20 years ago. You will be able to sit in Agatha Christie’s favourite seat on the balcony and hear stories of childhood visits from her grandson, Mathew Prichard. 

~ Champagne Breakfast and reading at The Grand Hotel: Take your seat in the resplendent, sea-view Brasserie at Torquay’s iconic Grand Hotel and enjoy a leisurely breakfast with bubbles whilst listening to a reading of an Agatha favourite.
