BALLERINA arrives on Digital Download from 14th April and Blu-ray and DVD from 17th April, courtesy of Entertainment One.

Bring home some fun-filled animated adventure that follows the story of Félicie, a young orphan who tries to make her craziest dream of being a dancer come true. Be part of the magical journey as BALLERINA pliés its way onto Digital Download and Blu-ray and DVD from 17th April, courtesy of Entertainment One.

BALLERINA features a wonderful voice performance from; Elle Fanning (Maleficent, Super 8) as aspiring young dancer, Félicie; Dane DeHaan (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Lawless) as Félicie’s best friend and aspiring inventor, Victor; Carly Rae Jepsen (Castle, Grease Live!) as former prima ballerina, Odette; and Maddie Ziegler (Pretty Little Liars, Dance Moms) as a snobby trained ballerina, Camille Le Haut.

Félicie (Elle Fanning) is a young orphan who has only one passion – ballet. With her best friend Victor (DeHaan), they come up with a madcap scheme to escape their orphanage and head to the city where she can fulfil her dreams.  Through cunning plans and hard work Félicie lands a spot at the top dance school, where she has to take on the school bully to win the starring role. Whilst Ballerina might not be what Id class as my usual viewing  I have to say (well I dont have to…but I want to) that this film has so much charm in its near 90 minutes  With a gorgeous fairy tale like style of animation that reminded me of the earlier Shrek movies.  My one concern going into this film was ‘was there going to be songs’ and whilst there are a couple of songs on the soundtrack itself, this isn’t a film that has the characters breaking into song.  This is a film that knows exactly what it needs to be and does it perfectly. Theres humour, but not too much, theres ballet, but not too much, and theres the perfect amount of everything else.

Take a break from serious films and check out Ballerina.

Leap, bound and pirouette your way through the Easter holidays as BALLERINA arrives on Digital Download from 14th April and Blu-ray™ and DVD from 17th April, courtesy of Entertainment One.
