‘Emmanuelle’ star Sylvia Kristelhas died at the age of 60
The actress, born in Holland on September 28, 1952, became famous after she starred in the 1974 film Emmanuelle playing a sexually promiscuous housewife who lived in Thailand with her older husband
Before landing her movie career, Sylvia was a model, she then went onto appear in over 50 titles including 12 Emmanuelle projects (including the television movies)
Sylvia is also well known for roles in Lady Chatterleys Lover & Airport 79:Concorde.
Sylvia was diagnosed with cancer and she was admitted to hospital in July after suffering a stroke.
Marieke Verharen told the press “She died during the night during her sleep.
Sylvia Kristel was and will remain an iconic name in cinema history and she will be missed.
