I opted to spend my day off catching up on some films I have had sitting around for a while but have never seen.
The first of these is the Casey Afleck starring serial killer film The Killer Inside Me. Released in 2010 this film is tough.
As I sit and watchi the film whilst writing this blog entry, there is something pretty nasty going on in the film that makes me fine with looking away fromthe screen for a few minutes.
Firstly this film is well acted. Im also pretty damn sure there are actually people in the world like that, you do hear about them on the news more often than we should. Scary world out there.
However would I recommend this film? Thats a tough one. Yes its well made, great cast including Jessica Alba and Ned Beatty but the content in the film is pretty harsh, perhaps too harsh for me to make it to the end credits.
Its always a n interesting conversation. Why do we watch brutal films? Especially those types of films that are realistically brutal.
